George A. Meier, II

George A. Meier, III attended high school on Long Island, N.Y., after which he attended Colgate University on a football scholarship. After receiving a Bachelor of Arts degree at Colgate in 1969, he continued his education at the Ohio State University, College of law. While in law school, he earned an academic scholarship and received the American Jurisprudence Award in Contracts. He graduated from law school in 1972, with honors.

From 1973 through 1977, Mr. Meier served as a judge advocate in the United States Air Force, where he gained immediate trial experience as a prosecutor in the military justice system. He also served a tour of duty at a headquarters level evaluating and supervising claims made against the United States Air Force.

Mr. Meier has been a member of the Florida Bar since May 1977 and has focused his practice on the defense of insurance companies and their insureds, as well as self-insured corporations and their employees. He is admitted to the United States Supreme Court, the Eleventh Circuit Court of Appeals, the Middle District Court of Florida (federal), and all state courts within the State of Florida. Martindale-Hubbell has rated Mr. Meier “AV”, its highest designation. He is a member of the Orange County Bar Association, The Florida Bar, The Florida Defense Lawyers Association, and the Defense Research Institute.

He and his wife Yvonne have two grown sons and reside in south Seminole County. In addition to practicing law, Mr. Meier has an interest in the arts, sports, and computers.
